In the past I always played it safe when it came to potatoes. For some reason, I had a fear of making fries in the oven. From past experience, they never turn out exactly right. Plus, I have three kids that have no problem calling mom out on her cooking faux pas. [Read more…]
The other day I told you how to make Easy Homemade Mayonnaise that is both Whole30 and Paleo approved. I love this mayo so much. I have been able to make tuna salad, egg salad, chicken salad, and a host of other goodies since I made my first batch.
Since then, I have been experimenting a bit with various flavor combinations to create marinades and dressings. By adding various herbs and spice combinations, I have been able to open up a whole new excitement for the Whole30. [Read more…]
I often get asked if I have any recipes on the blog that are Paleo or Gluten-Free. This past year, I have ventured and dabbles in both “eating plan” worlds. I have tried and created some recipes that were good, and some that were down right amazing. When I write about recipes on this blog, they are generally ones that fall in the “amazing” category. I love food and when I change the way that I eat, I want to only share the best tasting recipes. Luckily others have thought they were pretty darn good as well.
When someone asks me about recipes, I generally point them to the recipe that they are looking for. I thought it might be helpful to list I my best recipes to date, especially for those who are trying to change their way of eating as we go forward into the autumn and winter months. Some of these you may have seen before, some of these have been hidden by other posts as the months have gone on. If you have been looking for a special recipe, this quick reference of 32 Paleo recipes for the Paleo and Gluten-Free person should be a great asset to you. Let me know what you think about these recipes. Either leave a comment on this post or on the original post. Thanks for reading.
I love quick and easy just like the next person. This is probably why I use the crockpot as much as I do. I remember my mom using an old orange one when I was a kid. So, when I became an adult (with my own kitchen), I made sure that I had a crock pot (or 4).
Since using the crock pot, I have created a lot of great meals, Paleo and non-Paleo, for my family. I love that I can just add all of my ingredients, turn it on, and go about my day. It really does helps with my already busy schedule.
This past week, I made a ham and pineapple crock pot meal that was even simpler than simple. I think the hardest part about this recipe is putting it in the crock pot. Seriously, it is that simple. Just two ingredients-a ham and a can of pineapple chunks and that’s it. Plus, it is Paleo. My kids even ate up this ham and pineapple without the need for the usual “coercion” to finish dinner. My husband and I even kept some aside to use for a breakfast. This ham is even better on day two!!
So if you need a fast and super simple crock pot meal, try this one! You won’t regret it. [Read more…]
